Hello all, I am Greg from London, England!
I am here in South and Central America with no real timeline and am looking for a variety of different workaway experiences to support my travel, and allow me to properly engage with local people, culture and communities.
I am looking to get involved in all sorts of different experiences from working in hostels to working outdoors. I am particularly keen to to support some building projects and community projects and would love to both learn and apply my skills in these areas whilst I travel.
I'm an outdoorsy person and am happiest out in nature or in the garden listening to indie music. I'm quite creative and spend a lot of time back in the UK doing woodwork, restoring and making furniture as well as painting and sketching. On my travels you will probably find me sketching or painting the views or exeriances from the day. Sports and staying active is also important to me! Some of my favourites are hiking, mountain biking, going to gym and playing rugby.Interests

For the past 2 and a half years I have been working as researcher in a large non-for-profit organisation in London that supports people with learning disabilities, a job I really loved. The work was a mixture of designing and carrying out research and evaluation projects to better understand many aspects of people with learning disabilities life and to assess the impact of the charity's interventions. This means I am very well suited to supporting work in local charities and have a lot of experience in this area that I can share. This role also required a lot of people skills, and I strive to be patient and kind to everyone I meet and always take the to listen and understand people.
I have also worked a number of other more practical jobs in the kitchen in a pub, in shops, and as a painter decorator so have a good number of practical skills to apply.
Im also really into doing woodwork and make and restore furniture back in London, and consider myself to pretty handy with anything require tools, building etc. So any building or more hands on projects would be perfect for me.
Please ask me about any of my experiences, I would love to speak to you directly to discuss the opportunities available and fully explain my skills and how I think I can help!Age
