Hello Workaway world!! If you're in search of someone knowledgeable about gardening/farming, plants, and project management then look no further! I'm Sarah, 23, and a recent graduate in plant biology! I currently reside in NC, but I spent 3 months in France last summer working on a retired couples old house and garden!

What really motivates me in the world is making it better than how I found it. For the past 4 years I have been working in sustainability and for the past year I have been working on a sustainable agroecology farm. My connection with the earth is what keeps me grounded and something that I want to carry with me in any jobs or opportunities I may take on!

Some fun facts about me are that I love to forage for goodies in nature, especially fungal friends, do film photography I will always stop to smell flowers and love to be outside — no matter the weather, and I am really interested in working at an organic farm while experiencing the world :-)

Lots of my expertise is in regards to sustainable development, team-building, leadership, grant writing, and anything farm related!

I have learned extensively about sustainable agriculture practices and cultivating on a farm from seed to delivery. I am both physically and mentally tough which is important in working in such a setting. Other skills that I have are a prociency in post-harvest physiology and processing, hoop-house work, harvesting herbs, flowers, and vegetables, working with machinery, weeding and tending to beds, integrated pest management, season planning and rotation, cover-crop and other sustainable soil practices, as well as mycology!
