South Africa - from Aug 2025 until Nov 2025 View allDescription
Hola Mi Amigos!
I’m Will — originally from South Africa, and for the past 20 years, I’ve been lucky enough to live and work all over the world. My journey has taken me from rugged Overlanding adventures with big trucks to managing lodges in some of the most stunning corners of the planet.
Along the way, I’ve picked up a pretty broad set of skills — from leading expeditions that lasted up to seven months across entire continents, to handling the behind-the-scenes nuts and bolts of lodge life. I’ve done everything from plumbing and electrical work to carpentry and general maintenance. I even studied marketing, but I’ve always followed my love of adventure over a traditional career path.
I genuinely enjoy getting stuck into a challenge — whether it’s fixing something with a handful of tools and a bit of creativity (yes, cable ties still deserve more credit), or stepping into new environments with an open mind and willingness to help however I can.
People tend to describe me as approachable, calm under pressure, and someone who listens well — and while I do love a good project, I also love a quiet evening with red wine and candlelight.
If you think we might be a good fit to work together or share ideas, I’d really enjoy connecting. I’m always keen to learn, contribute, and be part of something meaningful.
Looking forward to hearing from you!

More details about your skills
Through my time working all over the world with groups of people, I learned that having an open mind is always important for any situation, having empathy with every person I get in contact with, and always having the willingness to learn from every situation. No two situations are always the same and having the creativeness and problem-solving skills that I acquired from experience definitely helped me out of some tough situations. I have learned to adapt to this ever-changing world and if we have teamwork then no task can ever be too big.
I love working with animals, getting involved with a building project, are very handy with mechanics on vehicles and are generally a Jack of all trades. I enjoy a challenge.Age
