Hey I'm Georgie, 27 years old from the UK and have been living in Australia for the past year. I've loved living here, but I'm ready to embark on my travels around Asia for the first time and I hope to do some Workaway adventures along the way! Being around positive people with an appreciation of life brings me happiness and I hope to be around lots of them throughout travelling. I'm an artist who specialises in music, film, photography performance and sculpture! I've always been drawn (if you'll pardon the pun) to a creative way of life and hope to keep living that and sharing it with others along my travels.

I have always wanted to be able to teach English and would love to this at some point in my travels. I'd love to be fluent in Japanese, I used to work in a Japanese restaurant in London when I was at uni and I fell in love with the language then.

I'm a creative person and have always loved expressing myself through art in all its forms. This has been apparent in all my endeavours, from everyday tasks to professional jobs. I've always been an artist ever since I can remember, I think we all are in our own way to be honest! Since leaving uni I've worked in creative studios/workshops, specialising in art fabrication, model-making, art handling and most recently lighting. I like making things and have worked with an array of materials from wood to metal to silicon to crystal! I'd love to assist with creating something in whatever form that may be, building and gardening are both things I'd love to try as I've never had the pleasure of working outdoors and have often been in a studio - which is very nice too. Whilst in Melbourne I've been pet and housesitting for the past 6 months, which has been a great way of experiencing new areas and meeting people's gorgeous pets and being invited into their homes - so I'm used to looking after animals and a home.

What else ...

I love to read and write, I hope to be able to do more of this when I'm away about the experiences I will be having. I absolutely adore yoga and try to practice as much as I can, as well as trying to practice mindfulness and meditation more. Music is very important to me and is a big part of my practice, I love to swap music with people and find new songs I've never heard before. I love running and going on hikes and swimming in the ocean - snorkelling is something I'd love to do more of!
