  • Description

Hello, I am Gamze. For years I was afraid to learn English until I started crying with shame because I couldn't speak English in a job interview. The next day I bought a bus ticket to the neighbouring country (Georgia) and all I could think about was leaving my comfort zone. I had no English speaking practice, no friends, no plan and not much money.
Just courage and the need for change.

I started my journey in August 2023 to learn English and thinking that it would take 2 weeks, but the journey lasted 8 months from Georgia to Bosnia, Serbia, Macedonia with the friends I met on the road and what being on the road added to my soul. On this road, we progressed with volunteer projects that we found through one-to-one communication and now I have the opportunity to use workaway for the first time. I am very excited about this and I look forward to meeting people who share the same excitement with me.

    More details about my skills

First of all, as a graphic designer who graduated from fine arts, I do a lot of creative things. If there are things you want to learn and teach others, we can arrange a workshop together or we can draw and paint special designs for your wall!
    * Important note
As I want to do my master's degree in art therapy next year, I would be very satisfied to do these events and shows especially for orphaned children or elderly people.
    ● Sketch drawings
    ● Watercolor
    ● Acrylic painting
    ● Linoleum printing
    ● Knitting and crochet
    ● Handpoke tattooing.

If you want to add some movement, i can teach how to make our own toys and teach basic movements and if you are interested, we can even have a fire show in the evening!
    ● 3 ball
    ● Poi (fabric, led, fire)
    ● Nunchucks
    ● Dapostar

For building and cooking, i can say
    ● I may look petite and skinny, but don't let that fool you, because I've plastered walls, chopped woods and fed horses as a volunteer in the past. So if you have an attractive mountain view, I can show my inner strength in this way too!
    ● Of course, I prefer to be a breakfast chef/teammate in the morning instead of a dinner chef/teammate, but if you have not met the beauties of Turkish cuisine, I would be happy to offer new flavours to your dinners.
