My name is Gonçalo Monteiro, I am 22 years old, and I love to travel. I am always excited about connecting with other cultures, countries, and regions. As I embark on a new journey, I am eager to share and grow alongside like-minded individuals and communities who are open to learn, and mutual growth. Throughout my life, I have had some experiences abroad: a one-semester exchange program in Canada, a one-month intensive course in France, 4 months working in the Netherlands on the investment support team at Oikocredit, and 2 weeks volunteering in Kruger National Park, South Africa. But, I do not want to stop here. I am planning to take a Gap Year in the PALOP (Portuguese Speaking African Countries) to put into practice what I aspire to do in my future: I want to have a company, but my ambition is not just to lead; it is to be an example to others, to inspire them, and to motivate people to follow a positive change!

Chamo-me Gonçalo Monteiro, tenho 22 anos e adoro viajar. É sempre um orgulho poder conectar-me com outras culturas, países e regiões. A cada nova jornada, estou ansioso por compartilhar e crescer ao lado de pessoas e comunidades que pensam da mesma forma e de forma diferente, que estão abertos a aprender e ensinar para que possamos crescer mutuamente. Ao longo da minha vida tive algumas experiências no exterior: um programa de intercâmbio de um semestre no Canadá, um curso intensivo de um mês em França, 4 meses a trabalhar nos Países Baixos na equipa de investimentos da Oikocredit e 2 semanas de voluntariado no Parque Nacional Kruger, na África do Sul. Mas não quero ficar por aqui. Estou a planear fazer um Gap Year nos PALOP (Países Africanos de Língua Oficial Portuguesa) para pôr em prática o que pretendo fazer no meu futuro: quero ter uma empresa, mas a minha ambição não é apenas liderar; É ser um exemplo para os outros, inspirá-los e motivar as pessoas a seguirem uma mudança positiva!

My skills include creativity, resilience, teamwork, leadership, adaptability, time management, and persistence. I am also a quick learner. In my third year of a Bachelor's in Finance, I possess quantitative and problem solving skills.
Many of these skills were acquired through extracurricular activities in my life, such as playing the violin for more than 19 years and being a federated triathlete.
I speak different languages: Portuguese (native), English (Advanced), French (Intermediate), Spanish (Intermediate), and Dutch (Beginner)

Sou criativo, resiliente, persistente e destaco-me no trabalho em equipa, liderança, organização do tempo. Adapto-me facilmente a diversos ambientes e aprendo rápido. Estou no terceiro ano da licenciatura em Finanças em Inglês, possuo boas competências quantitativas e de resolução de problemas.
Muitas destas habilidades/skills foram adquiridas através de atividades extracurriculares, como tocar violino durante19 anos e ser triatleta federado.
