Hello!
I am currently in Sydney 🇦🇺
My name is Friederike Wolff and I am 21 years old. I live in a small town in Germany which is called Siegen and I am currently studying European economics and communication.
But before continuing my studies in October, I’ve decided to spend my free time of two months to experience unknown countries while working.
After my graduation from Highschool, I started my gap year in France working in a little hostel for two months during peak season. It was a great experience to interact with people from all over the world while improving my language and social skills. In addition, my jobs there were very divers and so I faced a lot of new tasks everyday. This was super great! Afterwards, I traveled all around South America by myself for a year. My goal was to learn Spanish, but I got way more than this: I met a lot of new people from all over the world and thanks to Workaway, I really got insights into their daily life. I got to work with a lot of children, for example I worked in a language school on the Galápagos Islands and I helped my host families kids with their homework. But I also got in touch with a lot of different animals for example, when I stayed at a husky farm in Chile or when I worked at a dog rescue shelter in Peru I saw a lot of breathtaking nature and animals which I have never seen before. All in all, it was an amazing time and I would love to tell you more about it when I come to your place.
But going on with me as a person:
I love traveling. I’ve never been in Australia before but the fact of being at the other half of the earth (from my point of view) has catched every inch of my body.
I bring a lot of energy, good attitude and motivation to work and help wherever I can, because I am curious to learn more about your daily life.
I have also a lovely hand for animals which can be seen by the way I handle my 8 years old dog. It has always been a dream for me to work and to stay at a farm and to take care of a lot of animals.
I play the piano for 16 years and I love doing sports, for example playing tennis, going jogging or swimming.
What is more, I’ve learned English in school, but I have never lived in an English speaking country for a long time. I would like to (re)learn this beautiful language while living with native speakers. Apart from that, I speak German, French and Spanish.
In 2018, I did an exchange to France where I went to school and lived with a friendly host family for a couple of months. It has been an awesome time and helped me to learn speaking French almost fluently.
And I have a drivers license :)
