  • Description

What brings me the most happiness is playing sports. I've always had a very active lifestyle and have tried a multitude of sports, but have finished with dancing and rugby being my focus. I love the outdoors, especially forests and running water (rivers, the sea etc). I love spending time with my friends and my cats (I have 4). I joined Workaway because I want to do something to give back, even if it's just a little bit and just to one family.

  • More details about your skills

I am currently at studing Newcastle University but continue to work part time as a bartender. I used to coach RugbyTots (rugby for very young children) on the weekends. I am good with pets and get on well with children. I have done some volunteer tutoring for pre-GCSE, GCSE and A-Level.
I spent 5 weeks in Costa Rica on a gap year volunteer programme. This involved helping renovate two turtle sanctuaries and doing night patrols. We also helped paint part of a school and spent an afternoon with the children once it was done. Although we learnt some Spanish out there the language barrier was a fun challenge. I spent 6 weeks travelling over the summer: 1 week in Barcelona, 3 weeks nannying via Workaway, 10 days helping out on a farm via Workaway, and 6 days in Amsterdam.
