  • Description

Writer, Entrepreneur, Dreamer, Poet. Currently on a quest to find the holy grail :-) And hopefully write a new book. I am currently in France looking for my next stop. Thank you.

September 2020 to December 2024, I operated a beverage popup where I sold lemonade & tea drinks at farmers markets, festivals, and private events. You can check out my IG @smashandsqueeze

May 2020 to January 2022 I worked at Verdegreens Farms in Houston, Texas. They are a hydroponic urban farm that specializes in lettuce, herbs, and micro greens. They were a huge help to me in starting my small business Smash & Squeeze LLC. They rehired me recently to help them design their drink offering at an up-and-coming bar they're opening in 2025.

February 2017 to March 2020 I worked at Raven Grill, a neighborhood restaurant in Houston, Texas. My tenure ended with the lockdown. I was the Beverage Director, Head Bartender, and Sommelier.

I grew up in the hotel / motel business. My parents owned a hotel in Paris, then in San Francisco, then in Snyder. I started in the restaurant business at 15 years of age. I have worked at numerous restaurants, bars, hotels, and motels. Basically I have been in the customer service industry my whole life.

  • More details about your skills

I have spent a lifetime in customer service. My parents owned a hotel in Paris when I was a kid, and eventually operated a motel in West Texas where I grew up. I have since worked every job possible in restaurants from BOH to FOH. Pre-pandemic I was a Beverage Director / Sommelier / Head Bartender kind of guy. After the lockdown, I started volunteering on an urban farm in Houston, and ended up working for them full time. They were a huge help to me getting my beverage popup business started, which I've been running / operating since. However, I like to discover new things, and work in different fields, because I enjoy learning and meeting different people. I have worked in my 20's in the film industry, in various farms and outdoor manual labor, tons of restaurants and bars, I produced-hosted a weekly live talk radio show for years in Austin where I interviewed poets, novelists, journalists, and filmmakers. I've written and published several books. I'm not afraid of hared work, sweating, getting dirty, digging in the dirt. I love food.

  • What else ...

I love learning anything about plants, permaculture, land management, healthy whole foods, and how to be self-sustainable. I absolutely loved working as a talk radio host, and would still be doing it if I could figure out how to make a living with it. I'm always happy to share stories, and mostly listen to stories.
