Hi, I'm Francis!

I'm a 25 year old English guy travelling around Latin America, looking to learn some valuable practical skills, improve my Spanish and Portuguese, and explore.

Although I'm new to Workaway, I have spent one month working on a farm in Portugal, organised through the WWOOF website.

During this stay, I learned about essential farm work such as olive tree pruning and 'donkey feeting', managing irrigation systems for tree groves, gardens and crops.

I also worked with concrete by repairing old farmhouse walls and aquifers, and using chainsaws to prune trees.

While I'm no Picasso, I also painted a kitchen and a pool house, working with cal.

On top of this, I cooked family meals occasionally for up to 9 people at a time.

Overall I feel confident working with my hands, tools, power tools and in a kitchen and I'm happy to learn any new skills possible!

I've worked in hospitality on and off for several years, and feel comfortable and confident in customer facing roles.

When the workday is finished, you can usually find me running, reading or exploring new areas, cultures and cuisines. I'm also a big football fan and love to catch any games I can!
