Hi, there! My name's Francesco. As you've probably guessed from the name, I'm Italian, although I am living in the UK and have spent some time living in Paraguay, too.

My passions involve reading and nature. In particular, I love hiking through hills and mountains. I am also quite a sociable person - as sociable as a person who likes reading and hiking can be! I'm also particularly interested in projects that seek to establish new and more sustainable ways of living.

I've recently come back from a 4-month trip to South America and planning to start a master in Comparative Literature in September. In the meantime, I'd like to do some workaways in the UK to contribute to interesting projects and to connect more with the country that's been hosting me for the past 4 years.

I am new to workaway, but I've heard wonderful things about it from several of my friends, and can't wait to get involved!

I am pretty good with practical tasks. I like cooking - I'm particularly good with Italian food, although I love trying dishes from other cultures. I have some gardening skills, as I would always help my mum with the garden while growing up and I have been caring for some plants since living by myself. I also like fixing things: while at uni, I was always the flatmate who repaired things that broke.

I also have extensive experience working with people. I have worked for one year in customer service (hotel first and then Holland and Barrett) and volunteered for several projects.

I have experience teaching Italian to English and Spanish speakers.

What else ...

Further things that I like are (chill) bike rides, watching movies and taking pictures. I also love a chill night out with boarding games, card games, craft making and in general all things that make for a social and healthy night. Mind me, I don't mind a beer but just not always.

I also have a degree in Maths and Philosophy, although I don't know how this might be helpful for a workaway...

I have pre-settled status in the UK, which gives me the right to stay and work in the country until September 2025.
I also have a driving license.
