    Born at the tip of the Salish Sea in Olympia, WA, my work in experiential education and sustainable agriculture has taken me around the world, from Peace Corps Tanzania to the United Nations Mandated University for Peace in Costa Rica.     I am an ecologist, educator, and poet with a broad journey of skills and experience.
    - I have taught and practiced biointensive farming in California and Tanzania, which involves growing nutritionally complete diets in as small an area as possible while minimizing inputs.
    - I hold a masters in Sustainable Food Systems from the University for Peace and a BS in Environmental Science from Western Washington University. My thesis project involved growing and tropical fruit trees from seed and grafting.
    - I have traveled and worked in 30 countries, including WWOOFing in Japan, South Korea, Lesotho, South Africa, and Hawaii.
    - I am a vipassana meditator and have taught some meditation classes.
    - I currently coordinate horticulture programs growing native plants for restoration projects across the Western United States.
