Description

Hi we’re Layla and Ewan. We’re both 25 years old and are from Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿.

We are happiest when spending time with friends and family, gaining new experiences, travelling and eating. We enjoy pushing ourselves to try new activities and explore new places. We are motivated by helping others and finding things we’re passionate about.

We’re new to Workaway but have been wanting to make an account for such a long time. We have dreamed for years of travelling the world. Workaway seems like a great opportunity to us as we can travel whilst sharing and gaining experiences with other people.

We are both fluent English speakers and are keen on learning other languages. We are happy to help others with English. Ewan is a teacher by profession and has the skills to plan things accordingly. Layla can also speak Welsh incase anyone is interested in learning a few words.

Layla: I have experience working with people from lots of different backgrounds in my job as a social worker and am a very adaptable person. My degree was in Psychology, I find people interesting and love to engage with them. I am naturally caring so I work best with others. I also have a background in customer services and hospitality. I’m a quick learner and will try anything.

Ewan: I have experience working in hospitality and customer service roles. I have worked in several restaurants, bars and shops. In these roles I enjoyed talking and working with various people and developed good people, communication and monetary skills.
My most recent experience is completing my PGCE course and acquiring Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). I completed my degree and masters in History and so sharing this with others is something I take great joy in and am very proud of. I am an enthusiastic and hardworking person who loves to help others.

What else ...

We both love listening to and playing music. We attend festivals and concerts regularly. Further, we enjoy any type of board games and learning new things. We like to keep in touch with friends we’ve made and meeting up with them when we can. In our down time we also like to watch series and movies together.
