  • Description

    Hi there! I'm Esther, a French-german girl living in Berlin, enjoying life with my friends, studying political science, cooking houmous and baba ganoush, going out to the lake and starting some free yoga classes... I have a little brother called Adrian and two very cute parents, who have taught me that travelling is one of the best things in life. We always go camping, hiking, discovering the world and the different cultures that change us and make us become better, bigger, stronger, happier. I don't really know what to write in this description, there is so much I'd like to say! I like to speak to all kind of people, laugh, help, care, smile, think and read. I am fluent in French, German and English and a B2 level in Spanish. If I had to narrow my main hobbies down (I love to try out new things too), I would say they are hiking, swimming, cooking and spending time with family and friends. Hopefully we’ll meet during my travels!

    Difficult question to answer... I am a very open, curious person, I want to learn everything and will never be afraid of something unknown or new. Just go for it, that's the spirit! I like to cook (vegan, vegetarian dishes mostly, I am trying to become a houmous professional!), to do sports (running, hiking, bike, swimming), so I do have some strength and some endurance for work in the garden, outdoors, or things that need me to be active. I am used to taking care of young (and not so young) children and being useful in the household. At home my father would always ask my brother and me to clean our rooms and some parts of the house (friday was cleaning day), so that's also something I know how to do ;) I worked in a tourism office and as a secretary and really enjoy working with tourists, presenting the region I'm in, learning about it and giving something back.

    During my last workaway, I did different tasks that were very interesting:
    - cooking a lot with vegetables and fruits from a vegetable patch (jams, chutneys);
    - gardening, taking care of the vegetable patch;
    - building a fence and a little “house” for a goat and its baby, that were adopted by the family I was staying at;
    - taking care of a 3 yo and 1yo for the family (babysitting).

    These are just some of the things I can think about, don’t hesitate to ask for more details!

  • What else ...

    I am a swimmer since my childhood, I love being in the water. I’ll be also doing my first open water diving certification during my current trip, so exciting!

    I love taking care of kids and have done babysitting since I was 13 years old.

    Some other things that I really love are :
    - cooking nice veggie meals,
    - being in nature and hiking,
    - being active in general,
    - contemporary art and Theater, I worked in a contemporary Theater in Berlin for 2 years and that’s what I’m passionate about!
