I am a traveller from Turkey, really into language exchange and experiencing different (particularly indigenous) cultures and practices. I love exploring, meeting strange people, cooking and above all gardening and farming!

I have a literature and theatre background and can sometimes be a bit contemplative about, well pretty much everything that goes on or off in our beautiful earth but not always in a moody way; I would rather say I can be quite curious about everything like a 3 year old.

My short term goals are as follows:

1) Restoring a 7mt monohull sailing boat that passed down to me by my late father and set it to roam the seven seas.
2)Buying a land, creating a permacultural, 100% self-sufficient food forest paradise as a free space for all the misfits, poets, lunatics, visionaries, wanderers, faeries and the wild beasts.

I am a spiritual person, I have my own rituals and stuff but not in this phony new age yuppie way hopefully (I read occult philosophy) . I am also a Kundalini yoga praticioner for quite a while now.

And my recent skill that I've added to my arsenal is sailing. Yes, I am a sailor but a greenie one.

Though I don't have a Workaway experience yet, I am well accustomed to the rules of communal living thanks to my over 2 months retreat with the Butoh dance company, lots of trekking (part of the Lycian Way in Turkey), camping and living on board boats.

I am a social being and like to spend time with like-minded souls as,I believe, all of us but I respect other people's private time and would expect the same for myself as well.

Being a person who has Queer experince, I respect the power of community and seek empowerment through solidarity and love.

As for the rest, I will tell it to the mountains should our paths ever cross.

I studied English language and literature so I have a knack for languages (having taken many courses on French and currently learning Spanish on Busuu) so I would be more than happy to extend my linguistic knowledge.

I am a translator so I can offer my English language skills.

I can do basic gardening, work at a farm (I might say I am a hardworker when it comes to dirt)

I can sail, can be considered as a competent crew (actually I have RYA for this one) for any boat or yacht.

Having spent many years in the tourism and service industry, I might say I have above average social skills. I love a good and deep conversation. Also, I can get along really well with our animal friends.

And I can cook, I love to cook.
