Hey there,

we are Emma and Julia from beautiful Marburg and Bamberg. We are best friends since primary school and are very grateful that we both have the chance to travel and work together. As we have always lived in different places in recent years and have rarely been able to share a working day together, we want to take advantage of this with Work Away. So we are basically Work Away newbies and are really keen to find new inspiration, test our limits, gain new knowledge about work and culture and contribute our own ideas and skills to different projects.

But now, let's introduce ourselves briefly:
I'm Emma, 26 years old, I studied to be a teacher specialising in German and Ethics and have completed the last seven months an apprenticeship as an experiental educator in the Harz Mountains. Here I got to know and love climbing, nature and working with people outdoors all over again! In my free time, I take part in theatre projects, like to read, I enjoy working on smaller and larger projects with children, teens and adults. Now that my training as an experiential educator has come to an end, I am looking forward to getting to know new areas and deepening and expanding my experience with work away. I speak English and also have a basic knowledge of French and Spanish.
I am Julia, 27 years old and a newly qualified primary school teacher. In the last two years, I completed my traineeship as a teacher in beautiful Bamberg and decided to do some travelling before starting to work at a primary school, to learn new things and to share my experiences at work away. Beside from my work as a primary school teacher, you can find me inline skating, jogging or on the yoga mat, reading, meeting up with friends or getting creative with embroidery and jewellery making. I speak English and also have a basic knowledge of French and Spanish.
