Hey!
Originally from Berlin, I am definitely a big city person and love all the hustling and bustling that comes with it! At the same time, I sometimes want to escape for a while and just live a peaceful life by the beach in my hammock. I always seek for new adventures and during my last trip to South America I felt like I had to come back soon for a longer time.
I finished my BA in Special Needs Education and English and until now I have been working in a home for people with developmental disabilites. I am so grateful I can say I love my job! Right now my dream is to go abroad and use my skills elsewhere because I tend to need some small or big changes from time to time!
I am generally very outgoing and get along with everybody. Among other things I love to bike, tell jokes, read, swim, visit fleamarkets, travel by trains and public buses and go dancing. :)

It has been 7 years now that I've been working with people with disabilities, so maybe I could say I have gained quite some experiences in social work.
I am very patient (most of the time :D) and flexible, meaning I can adapt to all kinds of situations and changes without being stressed. It is very important to me to meet people on eye level no matter the circumstances and I dare to say that I have a sensitivity to the needs and feelings of other people.
One of my main skills, I guess, is to go about things with fun because life is so much better with ease! :)

I spent 5 weeks here and would definitely recommend staying at least two weeks to get to know everyone better and to really get into the routine.
The day starts around 08-08:30 and finishes at 12:30 and then you have lunch. Yessica has no problem to also cook vegetarian food :)
