Hi, I'm Emily. I am 19, I am well travelled, open minded with a positive outlook and have been told I have an old heart by many people.
Being in nature specifically by water (waterfalls, rivers the ocean) is my calling in life I just long to be swimming or in a kayak or canoe. Long term I would love to do marine conservation nothing fascinates me more than the ocean. The ocean itself brings me joy. I love hiking, swimming, kayaking, biking and exploring nothing thrills me more like finding new things.

What motivates me in life is the future memories I can create, working for my dreams, helping animals, impacting people and sharing experiences too. I want to experience everything life has to offer numerous jobs, foods and cultures.

I am currently working at a local social club, which has a café, two bars and an events room. I work various shifts during the week, including early, day and evening work.

Since starting in July 2022, I have gained much experience and many skills. These include: a friendly and welcoming manner, working well with others, excellent verbal communication skills (including: staff, other retailers and dealing with difficult customers). I have also developed telephone skills through ordering supplies to ensure stock is available and helping customers book rooms and tables.
Additionally, I have enhanced my memory, planning and organisation of time and resources. This has enabled me to be someone who is personable and a team player but also an independent and creative thinker who can be flexible and cope with high pressure situations when needed.

Furthermore, I have developed physical skills in: changing and tapping barrels, turning on the gas for the cellar and drinks, pouring pints, working the till, calculating change, restocking supplies on site, serving food and drinks, cleaning coffee machines and tables, dishwashing, working the sound system, collecting supplies from a nearby supplier and collecting cash from the local post office to keep the tills running.

I completed my formal education, studying A' level Drama and Theatre Studies, Geography and English Literature in order to develop my knowledge, skills and understanding of my two passions, acting and the natural world. Alongside this I have also developed my singing and acting through attending Theatre Cats Drama School and private singing lessons, completing recognised exams each year. Furthermore, my DofE experiences developed many skill sets, I am well versed in kayaking, dance, theatre and singing. I completed the Griffith's and Amour courses in order to volunteer at the RSPCA (an animal shelter), these provided vital information on Health and Safety in the workplace.

I know classic board games and card games which I enjoy playing with my family and friends.
I've done theatre since I was 5 years old and singing and dancing came along quickly after, although it's not something I am going to look into job wise, it is one of my passions.

I hope to achieve new skills, to take home the lessons and stories other people have taught and told me.
