Hi there, I'm Emilie from Belgium and I'm looking for my new Workaway oportunity !
I already experienced Workaway several times and I always enjoyed it.
In Europe, I had my first Workaway experience in Ireland for several weeks in 2019. I loved it and wanted to do it again ! I had a second one in Catalonia (Spain - 2 months in 2022) and it was totally awesome, I had a great time and met amazing people.
I'm in NZ since September 2023 and have several wonderful experiences with Workaway in both islands. I worked in Whangarei, Hastings, Dunedin and Rangiora. Usually, I was helping with the cleaning, cooking, gardening, taking care of animals etc. During those times, I met people that I would never forget.
I also have 2 pet sittings experience in Melbourne, Austalia.
For now, I'm looking for a cool project in Auckland, as I am at the end of my incredible New Zealand journey.
About me :
I would say that I'm a hard worker, couragious and not afraid to get my hands dirty. I am very adaptable and love to be useful. I enjoy hikking, cooking, going to museum, going out and watching movies. Always want to have a good laugh and hear travel stories.
For me, being a volunteer with Workaway is a great opportunity to meet new people, to learn new skills and to discover new horizons in the same time.

I have a bachelor's degree in Communication and I did a training in Digital Marketing. I worked as a French Copywriter for one year in Malta and as Customer Agent for almost 2 years in The Netherlands. I worked in public transport in Belgium for one year and a half.
I always wanted to teach my mother tongue (French) to people even if I don't have the background to do it... If you are interested to learn, let me know !
I have also other "hands-on" skills as cooking and gardening. I lived most of my life in the countryside of Belgium so I helped in gardening, taking care of plants and vegetables and we used to heat the house with wood, so I'm not afraid to carry heavy stuff.
I can take care of animals like dogs, cats, sheep or chickens as well.
I also volunteered in NGO (Friends of the Earth (Malta), DoC (NZ)) and for cultural events like music festival. I helped in event planning and bar services. I also worked in short-term jobs as hostess, bartender, in cleaning and in clothes restocking.
I see myself as a polyvalent and courageous person, not afraid to work hard for a nice project.

The work was easy to do and I had time to discover the beautiful area with my car. You can do great hikes or just walk around the medieval streets of Solsona.
