Hi, we are Ewa & Emilia - two redheads travelling🙂
We are driven journalists (in the making) from Poland who are craving challenges in Asia! Having traveled to most of the European countries, we want to broaden our minds and volunteer in any Southeast Asian country :) We'd love to absorb the culture, customs, and everyday life and learn as much as we can during our stay.
A bachelor's degree in journalism and social communication is what brought us together. Since the beginning of our friendship, we’ve been planning to embark on a life-changing journey and Workaway turned out to be our golden mean.
Besides media-related stuff, we can help out with pretty much anything (marketing, manual labour, plant & animal care, cooking, cleaning, arts and crafts, and more!), even if it’s not something we’ve done before. Our strongest value? Being quick-learners, we take challenges in our stride.
We consider ourselves absolute animal lovers. We are good with dogs especially as we are both dog mums! We are foodies hoping to explore new cuisines, outdoor people, and small things appreciators. We get along very well and are complementary to one another.
University and personal experiences have taught us both to work hard, be adaptable and engaged in every endeavor. This is us, now, tell us how can we be of help to you? We will be happy to contribute to you or your community :)

Emilia: I have taught English as a second language and provided lessons to students depending on their level (from pre-intermediate to upper-intermediate). I also provided support in preparation for the Polish Baccalaureate exam as a private tutor. I loved doing that and I am looking forward to teach you! Besides, learning languages is what exites me everytime I go abroad, so I'd love to learn yours!

Ewa - SKILLS
This year I am finishing journalism study. I love putting stories down on paper so for a while I was writing for regional newspaper. Now I am broadcasting in local radio. I have a background in cultural journalism, I created podcasts devoted to local cultural and artistic events and interviewing guests on-air. I have also my own broadcasting programme where I am covering polish rap.
I know the basics of sound and video editing softwares. As part of my bachelor's degree I am making documentary film. I have recently started working on my individual project which is podcast, where I am talking with people with outstanding occupations.
I love animals and nature. My whole life I had dogs, which are my favorite beings ever. If you have any pets I will be thrilled to care of them.
Currently I am managing instagram & tik tok profiles about unusual activities and events in my town. So if you need help with social media I can handle it ;)
My annual summer jobs include grape harvests or catering work at the festivals, weddings, conferences, so I am not afraid any kind of job.
Emilia - SKILLS
LANGUAGE
Besides listening, I always loved telling unique stories: through art, music, and words. My love for the English (and Polish) language and the beauty behind working with words resulted in me being a journalist and a copywriter. I have a CAE certificate and experience in teaching English to kids from 11 to 20 years old.
MARKETING
Coming from a marketing background I learned how to make engaging content while keeping the best SEO practices. I can boost your project/website/brand performance online with Google tools and social media. I also feel comfortable with graphic design for various purposes.
MEDIA
Like Ewa, I am a broadcaster in the two local radio stations in Poznań, Poland. I can easily conduct research, fact-check, and work under pressure. If you’d like, Ewa & I are willing to shoot a documentary or make a radio program about You or your project :)
CLEANING & COOKING
For the past 4 years, I've been a part-time cleaner. My job is to keep office spaces clean and tidy on weekly basis. I am well-organized and thorough. I make sure to leave every nook and cranny clean. In the past I’ve been working in a cafe and an indoor playground for kids, so cooking and cleaning were my “bread and butter” :) I’d be happy to help out!

Emi: If you’re looking for a determined individual who can easily pick up new skills, that’s me 😀. In addition to technology-related work I would THRIVE in completing some tasks outdoors that involve moderate exercise! I love a good long stroll, as I aim to experience any country on foot (even if it means walking for 10 hours straight!). Recently I moved houses a few times, so I am not afraid of some lifting and renovation and DIY-related work. I also really enjoy drawing and painting! Living in a rural area has taught me to appreciate the nature. I am a tea lover, photography and graphic design enthusiast, addicted to humor. Enough about me, what about you?
