Hello,

I am an 19 year old student travelling and working in the holidays between university terms in the UK where I am studying French and Spanish.

I am motivated by the prospect of meeting people, experiencing different cultures and learning and practising my languages!

I took a gap year before university and have worked in a local restaurant/ cheese & wine shop in London for three months (learning a lot about food, wine and hospitality in the process), lived as a student in Zaragoza, Spain, where I learnt Spanish for the first time, completed a workaway in France on a fruit farm, and spent my Christmas holidays working in a café.

I love sport and the sea – particularly surfing! I am also very interested in food and cooking and would love to try and exchange new recipes. I enjoy writing and reading (both fiction and non-fiction), as well as theatre and drama. I am very sociable and enjoy meeting new people and interacting in different languages.

I am hard-working and I enjoy learning new skills – I would say that I am fast learner. I have particular experience in public facing roles, having worked in a central London cafés and restaurants, both serving customers and preparing food. I am sociable, outgoing and adapt very easily to new situations. I am a good communicator and listener and have a strong understanding of English (native language), French and Spanish.

What else ...

I love being outdoors and by the sea! I particularly enjoyed learning about cheese in my first café in London (called La Fromagerie) and also enjoyed learning about local food and wine in Zaragoza.
