Description
After working for many years in advertising I am taking a break before I start my own business. In this time I would like to travel, get to know people, make new connections, gather new experiences, broaden my horizon, and to think and do "outside the box". I also want to reconnect with the French language: in the first few years of my life I spoke French, but as my family moved to Hungary when I was little I gradually forgot French. I would like to get back and up to speed again!
I have been eyeballing Workaway for a long time and it's finally time for me to jump in! I love helping people in all sorts of ways. I love sharing knowledge whether that's language exchange or skill exchange, I am very curious and eager to learn. I am very teachable too. I grew up in a family where my dad was one of those typical "how hard can it be" kind of people, he made furniture, fixed cars, did all the gardening, knows a bit about soldering and sewing as well, and that attitude and some of the knowledge was passed on to me (unfortunately the soldering not – yet –, so that's one more thing for me to learn).
In my free time I love doing “grandma things”, like crafts, cooking, baking, making jams, syrups, tending to my balcony garden, reading with a cat on my lap… but I also love being outdoors, walking, getting to know new cultures, going to galleries, etc.

MANUAL SKILLS:
wall/ceiling painting, design wall painting, repairing cracks with plaster, cooking, cleaning, gardening (weeding, pruning, digging, harvesting), assembling furniture, furniture restoration, pottery. Things that I have done once and with supervision/help I can help: woodwork, building retaining wall, tiling.
NON-MANUAL SKILLS:
Language (Hungarian, English, bit of French), tour guiding, digital marketing skills, customer representation (hospitality, administration), overseeing children or elders, tending to pets (I have two cats, used to have a dog, I'm used to giving them medication too), teaching drawing, painting, art.
MARKETING / DIGITAL MARKETING SKILLS:
Adobe CC (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects), strategic thinking, campaign concept creation, graphic design, print preparation for events, help around social media presence.

I am interested in tourism/hospitality, far down the road I could see myself owning a bnb/guesthouse and tend to that with all the manual labour, organising, planning, digital marketing that means. I like keeping myself busy. :)
