I'm driven by a deep curiosity for new experiences and a desire to constantly challenge myself. I aim to live outside of my comfort zone, open my mind to the world around me, and continually grow as a person. I enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds and places, discovering different values and ways to get by in life. In this search for my future self, I believe that the Workaway experiences Ive had and will have in the future will help me figure out who I’m supposed to be and where I’m supposed to end up.

After I finished my football career, I worked as an assistant football coach for kids 6 to 12 years old, which included organising training programs, conducting practices, motivating students and coming up with strategies and techniques. I’ve also worked as a babysitter to two kids (4 and 6 years old), where I implemented creative activities to entertain and educate them. I’ve also worked at a kitchen as a helper, where I was preparing food and maintaining a clean and orderly work environment. I’ve finished Riga Teika secondary school, where I learned about marketing strategies, business etiquette, public relations, introduction to legislation and presentation skills. As a part of my secondary education, i made a company with my classmates, where i was responsible for drawing up marketing plans, creating advertisements, maintaining social media and communicating with clients. I’ve always been passionate about horses, I used to help at a horse stable, where I learned how to care for a horse and help with rehabilitation exercise classes. I’ve also participated in four Erasmus+ projects in different countries. In one of them I learned the basics of project management, idea development, project planning, funding attracting and developed the ability to communicate and cooperate with different people. In other projects I learned about such topics as inclusivity, violence and sustainability. I’ve finished my first year of university in Audiovisual media arts, where I’ve learned such subjects as acting, photography, filming, editing, lighting, script writing and so on. I’d like to thing that I’m a hard worker and a fast learner and I’m opened to learning a lot more.

I am passionate about art, painting, drawing, making sculptures and little diy projects, especially taking photos and making videos (which is also something I learned in university). I’m also passionate about sports and being active. Football was a part of my life for 8 years, in which I got to represent my country in national tournaments. I learned how to not give up, work in a team, discipline and to always work on myself. One of the passions that I’ve had since I was little is taking care of animals. My other passions come and go but this one is always in my heart. I’ve been around dogs, cats, horses, chickens, cows and other animals most of my life. Being around animals brings me true joy and inner peace.
