Hi! We are Iida and Eino, a 27/28-year-old Finnish couple with open minds and adventurous attitude. We are eager to see new cultures, meet new people and learn about ourselves while helping other.

We live in Finland and work both as engineers – Eino in energy systems and Iida in food industry. Our goal is to take a break from work and spend a year travelling, enjoying and learning about new cultures. We believe that voluteer work would be a great opportunity to give from what we have by leaning a hand in local projects or teaching English, for instance.

We are self-guided, trustworthy and kind persons with active lifestyle.

In addition of being highly educated in the fields of our own expertise (automation / healthy nutrition), we have gained knowledge and experience in various thigs that might be helpful in different volunteer projects. For example, we would love to provide our help in English teaching, general maintenance, computers, electrical and water systems, householding, handcraft teaching, gardening, art projects, babysitting, food preservation and cooking.

Although we don’t have a degree or much of a previous experience in English teaching, we are fluent English speakers and writers. As Finnish school system is highly ranked and appreciated worldwide, we believe we can bring some of that with us and try to find fun and effective ways for both children and adults to learn the language.

Most of all we are very eager and quick to learn and will happily try our best to help in any kind of task coming up.
