Hello!
We are Dror and Rotem, a newly married couple from Israel, and we’re about to set off on our next adventure in South America this February. We’ve spent the past few years living in the north of Israel, where we both studied at university and worked in a youth organization that takes kids on hiking trips through Israel’s beautiful nature.
Here’s a little more about us:
Dror – I grew up in the southern part of Israel in a Kibbutz called Sammar. A Kibbutz is a unique community that shares everything – from food to education, to fun activities – and is very welcoming to new and nice people. I love hiking, climbing, snowboarding, and skiing, and I really enjoy spending time with friends and meeting new people.
I recently graduated with a degree in education and geography, and while studying, I worked as a manager in a youth organization that takes children hiking around Israel year-round. I was responsible for over 130 kids and also managed special projects focused on more extreme hiking experiences. I’m excited to learn new skills and gain fresh experiences while volunteering with you! I also love experiencing new cultures and sharing my own, especially through food. I’d be happy to cook some traditional Israeli dishes for you and would love to try local foods as well.
Rotem – I’m an occupational therapist, and like Dror, I’m traveling to South America with him. I was born and raised in Israel, and I have a deep love for the outdoors, nature, and the environment. I also have a great passion for animals and enjoy spending time with friends and meeting new people.
Currently, I work as a travel guide for children. Once a month, we go on a new hiking adventure in Israel’s nature to explore different areas. I get to combine my two greatest loves: educating kids and protecting the environment.
I bring a strong desire to be present, work hard, and help wherever possible. Nature is my comfort zone, and at home, I make compost and recycle. I’m very connected to sustainability and would love to continue learning and experimenting in this area.
We’re both excited for this adventure and look forward to learning, helping, and hopefully sharing some of our culture along the way!Interests
