We are parents, business owners, community volunteers, we own two homes (one is a vacation home), and true life partners. We are reliable, honest, hard workers, organized, neat, clean, and like to make sure any job we take on is done the best that it can be. Michele has been a teacher for 15 years, taking a sabbatical after personal tragedies, and Michael has owned his own business for 33 years. Mike can do just about anything and does it well (too many skills to list)! He is the epitome of a jack-of-all-trades...he has even built his own pizza oven and makes a great pizza! Michele enjoys cooking, teaching, and lifelong learning. Since suffering a great loss, we are looking for a life change, and a way to connect with nature and people, and this seems a good way to do it!

What else ...
Michele loves music, reading, playing word games, cooking, decorating, eating good food with good company, outdoor activities like gardening, light hiking. boating, sightseeing, exploring, visiting historical sights, and is hoping to pursue doing something artistic. Mike shares most of those hobbies (minus reading, word games and decorating lol), but he loves gardening (we have a garden with grapes, apples, etc), making homemade wine, beer, whiskey, sausage and salami, bread, dough and pizza in his hand built pizza oven, building, and fixing anything that needs fixing. We haven't had call a repairman for anything in the home or for our vehicles. He is an owner/operator owning a trucking/excavation business, so he is a master mechanic, and operator of light and heavy equipment, which could definitely come in handy for many Workaways. We've renovated a home, so we both have experience with all aspects of that, and just have a lot of experience, experiences, and wisdom under our belts.
