Hello!

Let me introduce myself: My name is Djin and I'm a 25 year old Dutchie. I just finished my second studies in musical theater in Rotterdam. Before this I studied "Liberal arts and sciences" with a specialization in Physics and Mathematics in Utrecht.

I love to do a bunch of different things. Usually I dance four hours a week ranging from HipHop to Modern. I also take up responsibilities as the Chair of a Committee concerned with ethnicity and culture at my school. I prepare meetings with my board and work towards organizing two big events each semester. Another passion of mine is singing. Already when I was little I made as much noise as I could. Now, I like to accompany myself on the piano and guitar. I feel that singing and dancing or any other creative activity has the power to bring people together.

Not only am I a hard worker, unafraid of some physical labour, I also try to enjoy everything I do to the fullest. I feel that by talking to people and sharing experiences with them, you can learn so much and develop yourself together.
I love adventures, nature and am open to any sort of learning experience (may it be exchanging a language, learning new dishes etc.)! :)

What I hope to get from Workaway is to experience the culture of any country more thoroughly, meet new people and support you where I can!

More details about my language interests
I grew up and live in the Netherlands, so my native language is Dutch. Next to that I completed my studies and the language in which we studied was English, so I am also fluent in English. I really enjoy teaching and learning new languages, so I would love an exchange of languages.

Dancing: I taught a dance class at my university

Musical skills: I love to sing and play some guitar/piano

Creative and artistic: I love to paint, draw or try to piece things together to create something.

Teaching skills: I went backpacking for three months in South-East Asia and here I taught English for different hosts via Workaway. Next to that I have taught some dance, acting and singing classes to children and adults. I think that sharing knowledge is a beautiful thing.

Experience with children: I used to babysit children from 4 to 7 years old quite often.

Some cooking skills: I love learning new recipes and am used to cooking. Very open to learning in this field.

Experience with showing people around: I was an ambassador at my university, which means that I showed a small group of people the campus and told them all about it.

I just finished my second studies in Musical Theater, so I will probably be singing and dancing a lot! Next to that I love playing board games and card games.
