Hi, we are Dicte and Johanne, 22 and 23 years old, from Denmark. We are traveling around South America and would to spend some time working in Chile as we see it as an incredible opportunity to use our skills and interests in food, wine, and nature in a beautiful setting.

We have a passion for meeting new people and experiencing new cultures, and we hope to have an extraordinary adventure in Chile. We have both worked for many years in the food and wine industry as waitresses in restaurants in Denmark, where there is a strong focus on high-quality ingredients and wines from small, local producers.

We also love to travel and have been on several long trips, where hiking and cultural experiences have been the highlights. Combining our passion for food and wine with our desire to travel and experience new countries and local communities, we believe that Workaway is the perfect opportunity for us to both learn new things and share our experiences.

We have long dreamed of seeing firsthand how local wine producers create their wines and getting hands-on experience in this field. We are not afraid of hard work and are also happy to help with everything from childcare and animal care to laundry and cleaning - or what ever is needed!

We are excited to learn about Chilean culture, and contributing our skills and enthusiasm to the projects we join.

We bring extensive experience from the restaurant industry, where we've worked with high-quality, organic, and locally sourced ingredients and wines. Cooking is our passion, and we have catered to numerous large events, including birthdays, New Year’s Eve celebrations, long-table dinners, and social gatherings.

We have a deep love for nature and everything it encompasses. Our outdoor experiences include hiking in Asia, Greenland, Norway, and Slovenia, where we enjoy physical challenges and adventures.

In addition to our culinary and outdoor skills, we have both spent the past two years working as educators in a school and a kindergarten. This role has provided us with significant experience in structuring activities, teamwork, and building close relationships with the children we worked with.

Now, we wish to combine our love for food, wine, nature, travel, and connecting with people by embarking on a Workaway adventure.

We are both social individuals who love spending time organizing fun and creative events for our friends. Whether it’s a board game night, a lively karaoke session, or just enjoying a slow sunday morning in the sun, we cherish these moments with our loved ones.

Being active is an essential part of our lives; we enjoy hiking, climbing, practicing yoga, and running. Over the past 4-5 years, we have worked as waiters, baristas, and educators, which greatly reflects our interests and how we like to spend our free time. These roles have allowed us to develop lots of skills and a deep appreciation for service and education.

Additionally, we both have traveled, and our desire to explore the world has only grown stronger in recent years. We are excited to combine our great passion for travel and adventure with our strong work ethic and eagerness to learn new languages, cultures, and connect with new people.
