Hi there!
My name is Daniel, I am 22 years old, and ready for an adventure! In May I graduated college with a degree in Business Management and Leadership, a certificate in Ethics and Sustainability, and a minor in Buddhist studies. I have been blessed with a life full of opportunities, and am looking to get outside of my comfort zone and see the world for what it is.
In the short time I have been alive I realized that what brings me happiness is quite simple. Helping people, learning about myself, and being out in nature seem to be all I need. So long as where I am can check off one of those three boxes I am remarkably happy. I also realized through my studies that my own view on the world is fully in my hands. This is something that has been important for me as it has changed the way I view my moment to moment experience in this world.
By traveling to Peru I hope to become fluent in Spanish, experience being truly alone, become comfortable with being uncomfortable, and meet people different from myself. Every human is beautiful and amazing in their own way, and each and every one of us has something to share with the world. If we all adopt this mindset I am confident we can all help in making the world a better place.
My future career is being the director of a children's summer camp in the states called Camp Thunderbird in Minnesota. After I finish my travels I will begin working there which I am very excited for. At this camp, kids from all over the world come to be in nature, learn what it is like to live without technology, and most importantly how much happiness living as a community can bring us. I feel so honored to have this career, and want to share all I have learned over the years of working here with the world.
I choose to do workaway as it is a great opportunity to help people, and see the world. Whatever work you need done I am capable of doing, and will keep a smile on my face while I do it. My motto is to be a life long learner, and I know this journey will teach me more than I can even imagine. If you have any further questions please feel free to ask.

Me llamo Daniel, tengo 22 años y estoy listo para la aventura. En mayo me gradué de la universidad con una licenciatura en Administración de Empresas y Liderazgo, un certificado en Ética y Sostenibilidad, y un menor en estudios budistas. He sido bendecido con una vida llena de oportunidades, y estoy buscando salir de mi zona de confort y ver el mundo por lo que es.
En el poco tiempo que llevo viva me he dado cuenta de que lo que me hace feliz es bastante sencillo. Ayudar a la gente, aprender sobre mí mismo y estar en la naturaleza parece ser todo lo que necesito. Si por lo menos este lugar cumple uno de mis objetivos, seria extraordinariamente eliz. Con mis estudios también me he dado cuenta de que mi propia visión del mundo está totalmente en mis manos. Esto ha sido muy importante para mí, ya que ha cambiado mi forma de ver el mundo en cada momento.
Viajando a Perú espero llegar a hablar español con fluidez, experimentar la soledad, sentirme cómoda con la incomodidad y conocer gente diferente a mí. Cada ser humano es hermoso y asombroso a su manera, y todos y cada uno de nosotros tenemos algo que compartir con el mundo. Si todos adoptamos esta mentalidad, estoy segura de que podremos contribuir a hacer del mundo un lugar mejor.
Mi futuro profesional es ser directora de un campamento de verano para niños en Estados Unidos llamado Camp Thunderbird, en Minnesota. Cuando termine mi viaje, empezaré a trabajar allí, cosa que me hace mucha ilusión. En este campamento, niños de todo el mundo vienen a estar en la naturaleza, aprenden lo que es vivir sin tecnología y, lo que es más importante, cuánta felicidad puede aportarnos vivir en comunidad. Me siento muy honrada de tener esta carrera, y quiero compartir con el mundo todo lo que he aprendido en estos años de trabajo aquí.
Elijo hacer workaway porque es una gran oportunidad para ayudar a la gente y ver mundo. Soy capaz de hacer cualquier trabajo que necesiten, y mantendré una sonrisa en mi cara mientras lo hago. My expertise gained during my time at university include: guiding mindfulness practices, running social media accounts for companies, management and leadership skills developed in the classroom and during my time working in the field, and practical environmental sustainability knowledge developed through internships and work with university student government.
My expertise gained during my time working at Camp Thunderbird: Wilderness Outdoor First Responder Certified(medical certification), expert in child care, conflict resolution with adults and kids, homesickness mitigation, backcountry guide for backpacking and canoeing, sufficient cooking skills, and expert in leading fun group activities for kids and adults.
What can I teach: basketball, horseback riding, waterskiing, swimming, baseball, rock climbing, fire building, mindfulness and Buddhist meditation, waterskiing, canoeing, and gratitude practices.

Mi experiencia adquirida durante mi estancia en la universidad incluye: prácticas de mindfulness, gestión de cuentas de redes sociales para empresas, habilidades de gestión y liderazgo desarrolladas en el aula y durante mi trabajo sobre el terreno, y conocimientos prácticos de sostenibilidad medioambiental desarrollados a través de prácticas y trabajo con el gobierno estudiantil de la universidad.
