  • Description

    Greetings from Ireland !
I was born in the picturesque Czech Republic, where my roots are deeply entwined with nature, thanks to my grandparents. My grandfather, a gardener, and my grandmother, a herbalist, instilled in me a profound respect for the natural world. From an early age, I learned the art of picking herbs and crafting herbal remedies, which has blossomed into a lifelong passion for alternative medicine. I firmly believe in nature's power to heal and often advise my friends on natural remedies, striving to minimize the use of chemicals in my life.

20 years ago, I moved to Ireland, where the weather might be unpredictable, but my enthusiasm for the outdoors remains unwavering. Whenever the sun shines, you can find me outside, soaking up nature like a sunflower. I enjoy exploring the seashore and the mountains, often accompanied by the dogs I mind through my dog-minding business. This venture provides a home-away-from-home experience for dogs, house sitting and company ,ensuring they have a fantastic holiday while their owners are away. My love for animals is deep-rooted, having grown up with dogs and always feeling a special connection with them.

Professionally, I was trained as a chef and am an avid foodie. I love cooking, particularly for friends, and enjoy pairing good food with good wine. Over the years, I've developed an interest in wine tourism and have taken courses on Spanish Rioja wines and other wine regions. In my leisure time, I indulge in reading—especially books on self-awareness, self-help, and different cultures. Documentaries, travel programs, and other people's travel journals inspire me to plan my next adventures around the globe. Photography is another passion of mine, and I enjoy capturing the beauty of the places I visit.

With 16 years of experience in healthcare, particularly in home care for the elderly and disabled, I have found immense satisfaction in helping those in need. This career has allowed me the flexibility to travel extensively, which suits my lifestyle perfectly. I cherish the freedom to explore new places and cultures, often venturing off the beaten path to discover remote and less-known destinations. One of my most memorable adventures was navigating the Pangolanas Canal in Madagascar with the locals—a journey that offered a deep connection with nature and the simplicity of life there.

Driving is another passion of mine, which has enabled some of my most adventurous trips. For example, I once embarked on a 6,000-kilometer road trip across Turkey, fascinated with its history , reaching the eastern parts and swimming in Lake Van, and exploring the Bahçesaray area in the mountains at 3,000 meters above sea level. These journeys often lead me to meet the most hospitable and genuine people, a kind of warmth that seems to be fading in Europe, which saddens me. I believe that true happiness comes from meaningful connections with friends and family, rather than material wealth. Loneliness is the most challenging aspect of my life, but I rarely feel it while traveling, where I almost always find companionship and joy.

I distinguish between travel and holidays—while I enjoy luxury stays in boutique hotels with fine dining and wine, I equally relish extreme travel experiences like hiking in Nepal, traveling through India, homestays, and hitchhiking. These adventures bring the right amount of adrenaline and foster deep connections, even in places where I don’t speak the language. I believe in the universal power of human communication and always find a way to connect with people.

I avoid negative news and conversations about war or disease, as I believe they spread unnecessary panic. Instead, I focus on positive, creative pursuits. Occasionally, I enjoy painting and making decorations like Christmas wreaths or Easter ornaments. I also work with felt, creating little dolls and animals. I love surrounding myself with flowers, finding joy and positivity in caring for them.

Additionally, I have had the privilege of working and volunteering in different countries, forming friendships that have lasted through the years. These experiences have enriched my life and expanded my global family.

In essence, I am an adventurous spirit with a deep love for nature, animals, and cultural exploration. I am always eager to learn, connect, and leave a positive impact on the places and people I encounter.
