Description
I am currently studying my Master’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering in Sheffield, UK. In September, I will start a PhD in Mechanical Engineering! So I am looking to travel around this summer to have a nice break in between the two.
I am a practicing Buddhist, so have a regular meditation practice and sometimes enjoy yoga too. I love hiking, geocaching and lifting in the gym. I also love reading, a good mix of fiction and non fiction.
My first volunteering experience was in Eswatini with World Challenge, building a classroom when I was 17.
In Summer 2023, I spent one month in Kathmandu volunteering through Help X. I was teaching English to young monks and had the most fantastic time.

As an engineer, I have a very mathematically based mind. I have been tutoring maths for several years and love it. I also have experience teaching English when I was in Nepal as it is my native language. I really enjoyed working with the children this way, and playing with them in their spare time (aged between 6-16).
I have a lot of experience working with animals as a really love them. I have volunteered at a local animal sanctuary in Sheffield, looking after pigs, goats, cats and dogs. I currently volunteer with The Cinnamon Trust, walking a dog once a week. Working with animals is ideal!
I am physically fit, and able to lift, walk or do physical labour.
Round the house, I have previously done painting, gardening and cleaning. I get a lot of satisfaction from cleaning but also love to spend my time outside.
