  • Description

Hi! I am Cyann, a french traveler enthusiast about working abroad to discover new cultures and way of life!

I studied marine chemistry in Toulouse, France, and then went to live in Norway and Germany, for erasmus and internships.

I love travels and discoveries, and I am really open to meet people and to new experiences. I have an easy-going and joyful personality, always seeing the positive side of things and truly non-judgmental. I love to dance, laugh, learn any kind of new skill, cook, or watch the stars! I’m used to sharing living spaces and being part of a community, and I absolutely love it. I truly enjoy being around people, but I also know how to be autonomous and independant. I am very adaptable and attentive— a true chameleon!

I play music, mostly guitar and piano, and I also enjoy sports (I do/did running, rugby, volleyball, and sailing among others).
I am new to Workaway but I have already experience in woofing in different countries. More details in the section "skills"!

  • More details about your skills

I love challenges and often sign up for spontaneous, crazy experiences. I am very dedicated to work when getting involved in a project because I really enjoy learning, sharing, and contributing to local initiatives. This is why I always try to work when I am travelling, because it is a great way to bond with locals and discover daily life and cultural aspects.

I worked in a farm in Colombia (El Boral) where I milked and took care of the cows while riding horses, cooked for the farmers, built a terasse and painted some rooms. I enjoyed every aspects of the farm life and I would love to do it again!

I also worked in coffee farm in Colombia where I collected coffee beans from the trees and processed it to send it to the roasting factory.
I then worked in a hostel in Colombia (La Casa del Frailejon), where I had to take care of the rooms and the cafe - it made me gain some barista experience!

I gave classes to bolivian students (3-15 years old), mostly spanish, english and mathematics, during a one month volunteering trip with the local association EDYFU in 2021. I also worked in a bakery making cakes to sell on markets for the association.

I am also a marine chemist and a sailing instructor involved in many environnmental awarness raising projects, doing workshops in school classes, filming videos or creating social media posts about environnmental issues and protection.

I am very motivated to work in every field. I feel great with children and animals, I am a fast learner and very adaptable, motivated to help in any ways!
