Hey ! We're Crystal and Anaec, 24 years old each, a happy French couple.

I (Crystal) am a cheerful and curious person, my favorite hobby is discovering new things ! I love sharing and hearing human and traveling stories, playing cards or board games, contemplating nature, hearing music and singing along, dancing, making jokes and seeing people smiling. I'm into arts, sports and photography too !

Anaec is energetic and enthousiastic, always happy for a good talk - or a good walk. He is always trying to help people, has an unreal orientation (challenge him at geoguesser if you dare) and is an awesome cook. He loves traveling by train for the landscapes and the peace it brings. He plays piano and is learning bagpipe. He's a lot into hiking and cycling, and you have superpowers if you don't smile after spending 5 minutes around him !

We had the opportunity to travel a lot as backpackers, both individually and together, and did plenty of jobs : we've been english teachers (we're both fluent), helped in a farm, been waitress/staff, babysitter, petsitter, project manager, volonteer, etc.

I'm a Digital product designer (specialized in user experience) and studied political science, marketing and intercultural management. Anaec is a DATA engineer and studied Maths and Statistics. We will be more than happy to offer these various skills and our energy to help in return for accomodation and memories :D

We're both the oldest of 5 siblings for me, 4 for Anaec, and we appreciate family and community life very much. We are autonomous and take initiatives within the rules. We're respectful and have a good adaptability. We also love animals and have been taking care of dogs, cats, rabbits... for friends and family.

Our next destination is Japan. Crystal can communicate in japanese (N3 level but needs a refresh) and have already been there few times, and it'll be the first time for Anaec who is currently learning japanese.

We'd rather bring back home memories than magnets on the fridge, so Workaway or couchsurfing are our favorite way of traveling ! Rather than visiting the touristy things, we'd like to experience the day to day life there. And happy to help for that !

Since I have no occasions to practice Japanese, I am more than happy to speak with natives ! And I'm happy to help you practice French and English too. I've been told to be a pretty good language teacher !

More details about your skills

My main skills are in children care, entertainment and UX design, but can really do everything. I've been a waitress, in charge of logistics for a big event, president of a student association, photographer, petsitter, barista, worked in a hostel, designer, etc. I can cook (basic meals and pastries), sew and make clothes, draw, among others.

Anaec is good with numbers and automations, if you struggle with excel files he'll be your guy. He's also been an event staff, babysitter, petsitter and worked in a supermarket. He's also handy and will manage outdoor work without pain !

Our native language is French, we also speak english fluently (we've both lived in Ireland and work in english). Crystal can speak some japanese and Anaec is currently learning it.

What else ...

I play cards, no idea if the games I know are famous abroad but their french name are Quinche, Tarot and Belote. And I like all the other card games ! And adventure, family or strategy boardgames too :)

Two things I love but don't have the opportunity to do often : sailing and horseriding.
