  • Description

Hi, I'm Clara, a french who live with 2 dogs and 2 chickens.

    Who I am ?

Here are a few words about me, I studied psychology for 3 years, then I reoriented myself in another field: nature and animals, I studied animal care. Among my many projects, I would like to open an educational farm and partner with medical centers to create things related to animals and people. I would also like to work in the field of conservation. I find it important to educate people, especially children, about the flora and fauna around them. During my studies, I had the opportunity to participate in conservation projects involving frogs and snakes and I loved being able to get involved in these projects.

In my free time I like to create things, I do embroidery, painting, drawing. I like to do colorful and happy things. Art is a form of a meditation for me. I will be happy to add a little of my color to your daily life.

Why do I want to travel ?

I have many reasons to travel. At first, I like to meet people. I'm a social person and I appreciate to live with people and to cook for them. I also have a very good cookie recipe to share. During my schooling, I did internships far from home (in the Dordogne in France and in Belgium). I loved meeting people. They introduce me to the beautiful places in their region, the specialties and specificities of the surrounding area. This summer 2024, I also did my first woofing in Ireland (with Hepx), I stayed in a social farm during a month. I discover the country during my rest days and met a lot of kind people, it was a great first experience.

The second reason is that traveling gives me a lot of self-confidence and shapes the independent person I want to become. I like to challenge myself and get out of my comfort zone, I want to learn new things and share my vision of the world with others.

Finally, at the end of my studies, I did not find the job I wanted. This situation has led me to review my plans and I think it is the right time for me to travel further than Belgium and Ireland.

Among my travel plans, I would like to discover England and Spain, but also the Eastern countries, notably Hungary, the Czech Republic and Croatia. Finally I would like to go on beautiful hikes, particularly Santiago de Compostela.

  • More details about your skills

I did many different jobs, I did the harvest several times. For a year I worked in a theater, where I was in charge of mediation between the theater and schools. I was also a postwoman, I loved this job because a lot of the work is done outdoors. As part of my studies with animals, I did an internship in Belgium in a zoological park, “Les grottes de Han”. It is a large park with many European wildlife animals. It was on this occasion that I raised frogs to release them in environments where they had disappeared before. In France, I participated in studies on spotted salamanders (Salamandra salamandra), ensuring their presence in certain areas and their good health.

Besides that, I have good DIY skills, I know how to use all the basic tools and I generally learn quickly to use those I don't know.
