  • Description

    Thanks for reading our profile!

We are Charlie (35, tree surgeon/arborist, from Ireland) and Christin (28, child psychologist, from Germany). We met during Christin's first ever workaway in Ireland in 2017 and are currently taking a gap year together to explore more of the world.

As a trained and experienced tree surgeon, Charlie is very knowledgeable in trees and gardening, from pruning and dead wooding to felling. He is also a very skilled handyman and adept at fixing or building all sorts of things, and able to help out with heavy work. On top of that, he's an amazing cook too and great with kids and animals!

Christin spent the last years studying psychology and working with kids and families. She especially loves taking care of children and animals, but is just as happy to help with any tasks needed. In previous workaways, she worked at a sheep farm in Scotland, two farms in France (gardening, painting, woodwork, animal care,...), cleaned rooms and prepared breakfast in Italy and the South of France, wrote articles about the local area for a tourist magazine in Ireland and worked as an Au pair in London.

We both love the outdoors, are fascinated by geology and can't wait to discover new landscapes while meeting new people, supporting you and getting to know you and your culture.

We're looking forward to getting to know you! Any questions please get in touch! :)

  • What else ...

Our passions include psychology, geology, foreign languages, spending time outside hiking, kayaking, skating, slacklining or juggling.

Christin loves to play the piano, dance and is addicted to morning yoga (and to cake).
I'm a conscientious worker, reliable, honest, calm and value humour a lot! :-)
My previous workaways have been incredibly rewarding experiences, meeting people from all over the world and learning about their cultures. Taking a gap year after uni to travel has been my dream for a long time, so I can't wait to meet you and create new memories!

Charlie loves trees and being in nature and exploring. I've grown a passion for nature and gardens from working with my mum at home in the garden. After traveling for 6 years and doing all sorts of odd jobs I came home and became a tree surgeon. I'm hard working, friendly and passionate about my work.
