Hello everyone!

I am a backpacker from Germany who came to Australia to explore the country, especially the culture and nature, so I'm happy to see new places and get to know some folks who have lived here for longer. I have already been to Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide. I have spent quite some time in the Adelaide Hills where I did my first Workaway.

After having worked in an office job for a long time, I am happy to spend more time outdoors and enjoy going for walks, hikes or just exploring the surroundings.

I love seeing Koalas and Kangaroos in the wild and closeup and have turned into somewhat of a birdwatcher since getting to Australia.

Other than that I enjoy some quiet time which I usually spend reading, watching movies and series or journalling.

I'm still quite new to Workaway and excited for everyone I can meet through here!

I definitely want to improve my English even more and would love to learn some more French and Spanish. I have not used it much recently. I can teach you some German in return. :)

I used to work as a copywriter and editor (mainly German language), as a waitress and as a kitchen aid. I also used to sing in various bands.

During my first Workaway, I mainly did gardening, weeding, harvesting, cooking and food preservation, but also brush cutting, watering, pruning and deadheading roses and other plans, stacking firewood, repotting, building motes for plants and more. The food preservation included jam, chutney, fruit sauce, pesto, dehydrating fruit and blanching and freezing fruit and vegetables.

I am a responsible, cautious and self-sufficient worker. I am determined to finish every job I started and will always try to find the most efficient way to do so. I am also confident in painting walls, assembling furniture and doing small repairs.

I like to go to the gym regularly to do strength training and cardio exercise, this might come in handy working on your farm 💪

I am a fairly good cook and it brings me great pleasure to care for animals, especially dogs! I like meeting other travellers during my stay.
