  • Description

    Ciao!

I'm Chiara, an Italian marine biology student passionate about exploring new places and cultures.

I'm friendly, easygoing, and always eager to meet new people. Naturally curious and willing to learn, I put passion into everything I do and consider myself a fast learner. I’m also quite handy and don't mind getting my hands dirty!

I've always been an animal and nature lover, which led me to pursue studies in marine biology and commit to environmental conservation and sustainability.
I also have a green thumb and I like taking care of plants!

I love spending time in nature and doing outdoor activities, such as hiking and taking long walks with my dog (though he won't be joining me this time).

Having studied abroad, such as in the USA, Ireland, and Belgium, I've become adaptable to different situations and genuinely enjoy immersing myself in diverse cultures and connecting with people from all over the world, while being respectful of differences.

I'm seeking a Workaway opportunity from mid to late August until mid to late September. If you have any questions or would like to know more, please feel free to get in touch. I would love to set up a video call to discuss potential opportunities :)

  • More details about your skills

    • Teaching and Kids care:
I've volunteered with children at a local summer camp for three years, where I organized and facilitated various educational and recreational activities. Additionally, I worked at a WWF summer camp, teaching kids about marine biology and the critical importance of our oceans.
I also have experience in one-on-one tutoring for scientific subjects.

    • Gardening:
My family has a passion for growing our own vegetables, and I've learned a lot about gardening from them. I’m more than happy to lend a hand if you need help in your own garden; whether it's planting, weeding, or harvesting, I'm ready to contribute!

    • Animal care:
My love for animals extends beyond marine life. I volunteered at a dog shelter, where I helped care for dogs and take them for walks.

    • Languages:
I am fluent in both Italian and English, which allows me to communicate effectively with a wide range of people. I'm currently improving my Spanish and I am excited to immerse myself in Spanish-speaking environments to practice and experience the vibrant cultures that go along with it.

    • Hospitality:
I have experience working as an event assistant and in customer service during sports events, where I learned to assist guests and ensure the smooth running of events.
