Hi, nice to meet you! I'm from Padua, a city near Venice (Italy), and I lived the past 3 years in Bologna for University. After graduating in Social Service I decided to sign up for Workaway mainly to travel, have new life experiences, discover different cultures and make new friends around the world.
I would describe myself as an adventurous person. who loves wild life and nature, adrenaline and challenges. I am a cheerful person, I like art, music and sport in all their forms; in fact I play a bit of guitar and ukulele, and have been practicing martial arts (currently Muay Thai) for many years.
I prefer manual work: in the past I worked as a waitress, ice cream maker and bartender. I'm currently babysitting. I like working closely with people and being able to help them. I also love children and animals!
I haven't traveled much in life...now that I have the chance I really want to see the world in all its facets to enrich myself and perhaps pass on something of mine to others. I have volunteer experience as a "mud angel" after the flood in Emilia-Romagna, and as an environmentalist at the Montelago Celtic Festival. I'm patient, calm, flexible and I learn quickly.
I can't wait to learn new things.

I attended the hospitality high school and the University of Bologna in Social Services. In addiction to italian (which I can happily teach), I understand and speak English quite well, I have a basic level of German and I'm currently learning a bit of Spanish (I'd love to learn it well). I have worked as a waitress and restaurant manager in many hotels around Italy, I know how to make cocktails and aperitifs. I think I'm good at looking after children, painting, cutting hair, arranging and cleaning -as I love order-, and generally doing manual work. I would definitely like to learn more about gardening and farm work and working with animals.
Being a martial arts athlete, I wouldn't mind teaching self-defence, or just bodyweight fitness exercises for strenght and agility.

I really like swimming, whether in the sea or in a lake, and doing reckless activities such as mountain climbing and rafting. I also like reading and taking photos with vintage cameras.
