I'm a cheerful and outgoing Swede, who loves to learn. I moved to the UK 25 years ago, so I now feel more British than Swedish...

I have always loved animals and nature and I try to do my bit for the environment.

I'm a dog trainer by trade, but I've also worked as a web designer and tried my hand at all sorts from receptionist to shop assistant. I'm currently working as a waitress and love how busy and social it is.

I'm hard working, stronger than I look and keen to learn, so I'm hoping you'll find me useful.

I mainly eat plant based foods, occasionally fish, but no other meats. Having said that, I don't have any issue cooking meat for the family or the pets.

I love being outdoors, so I do a lot of walking and gardening. I would love to learn about permaculture and eco building skills.

I'm keen to learn new languages, so hoping to meet some travellers from other countries along my route.

I've experienced a couple of WorkAway homes in Australia in early 2023. I'm hoping to visit Canada, Costa Rica and South Africa next.

I've been a dog trainer for almost 30 years, but I love all animals. I’ve always been interested in psychology and behaviour, so I tend to do well with any animals, because I respect their space and try to learn about their needs and natural behaviours, before I deal with them. So I would love to do any job dealing with animals - feeding them, caring for them, cleaning for them, walking them…

I’ve had dogs, cats, Guinea pigs, ducks and chickens as part of my family in the past and as a child I rode horses for a few years, so those are animals I have experience of.

I'm the type of person who likes to get stuck in and I love a physical challenge, so digging holes, pulling out roots, moving rubble, etc suit me perfectly. I have an odd love for building fences, so I guess there is that too... lol

I might ask lots of questions to begin with, because I want to get everything right. I hate messing up, so if I get unsure, I will ask for guidance. Having said that, once I'm confident about what I'm doing, I just get on with it.

Other than animal and outdoors skills, I've also run my own web design and a pet services advertising business (very small scale) and I've been a sole trader for over 20 years. I'm quite an organised person and I love a bit of detective work (worked at an affiliate marketing firm for a while, scouring through code to find the errors that stopped the web sites and links from working). I'm as happy stuffing envelopes as I am doing a bit of book keeping.

Basically, I always want to feel useful and I love to learn new skills or how things work.

I love walking / hiking, climbing, kickboxing, yoga, coasteering and any other water sport available. That doesn't mean I'm any good at any of them, just that I enjoy doing them. :-D

I love new adventures and learning things, especially if it entails being outdoors and being active.

Love board games, card games, etc. I enjoy playing, but I don't care if I lose. It is the banter during the play that makes it so enjoyable! I quite like computer games too.

I’ve been delaying giving feed back here to I had the space to write a proper fantastic review, because that’s the only type Caroline (caz) deserves. But this morning I thought a quick comment sooner is better than delaying any more. As that is what caz represents ‘Action!’ There is no delay in caz what so ever. She seizes every moment to squeeze… read more something in. Things just don’t back up when she’s around cause she’s onto it. With immediacy.
Always maximizing everything and every window of time.
Caz must be tapped into an ever ready battery source for motivation, she has it in bucket loads, I think it’s cause she has a ‘can do’ approach to life and just gets on with it. She is super efficient, the term, self motivated, just doesn’t cut it. Perfect for me cause we would just get into a groove and flow and next thing I knew another big task was finished. Not to mention all the little ones the every day daily ones in between.
My daughter lights up when she sees a photo of caz or hears caz voice on the ph months after she had left. They made friends and actually felt like sisters to me a lot of the time. Both comfortable to tease each other out and disagree on stuff, mean while playing like best buddies any chance they could, Caz to is one of those ageless people, meaning can connect with someone from any back ground or age. She makes the most of her time with people. And is also very independent clean tidy organised. Integrity is her back bone.
Highly recommend hosting Caroline. As long as she still comes and stays with us again next trip too. 😀
Her skills and tasks list are a way to long to list capture cause I’ld probably miss some out. But will say is very capable of doing most things that any one would need help with around a property home family and animals computer, work, community, and then some,
Oh caz loves animals, as well as people and nature, appreciates Australian wild life very much. Values its natural beauty.
Caz Uses all natural products so won’t toxic up your home with terrible smells or chemicals. She Cooks washes cleans for her self and for us too at times
She practically hosted me 😂 I would joke about her being my ‘personal assistant’ cause that’s what it felt like

I had the most wonderful stay with Corinne and Clovis ♥️, at Riley’s Hill, which is a piece of paradise. Waking up to cicadas and chattering Kookaburras in the morning and falling asleep listening to frogs and koalas in the distance. Very pretty little bush walks in the nature reserve, next door. Sunsets to die for 🤩.

Caz was amazing, she worked so hard doing everything from sanding, painting, weeding, planting, organizing, but most of all dog training and animal socializing.
