Hello wonderful people of Workaway!
When we first heard about this platform we got extremely excited, downloaded the app and made plans to finally quit the 9-5 office lifestyle to slow down and enjoy life. We are new to the Workaway/ Woofing world and can't wait to get to know like minded people while getting our hands dirty and explore new places.
We are Casper (Dutch) and Maxime (Dutch/Zimbabwean) and we are heading to New Zealand in October 2022 to lend a helping hand to hosts, learn new things and create a memorable time.
I, Maxime, get motivated by kindness, nature and innovative ideas. It brings me energy to listen to people's journey which in turn fuels me to also carry on my journey. I love making people feel at ease and welcome, I can be outgoing and social however I really enjoy quiet-time from time to time.
Casper is strong and also patient with tasks, sometimes when the going gets tough he takes a break to re-assess his work in order to get the desired result. He enjoys building and renovating as well as learning about cars and engines.
Both of us are good with children, enjoy gardening and can really get excited about DIY projects. We both love the outdoors and are willing to learn and help wherever we can. Furthermore we can help with social media channels, Casper is very good in writing and I have photography as a hobby.
We have both done sales for three years, I am not sure if that could be any help to hosts but that's our work experience after we both graduated from Hotel Management. We can cook, clean, welcome guests, work behind the bar, make a great coffee and do the dishes. Oh, and we both love animals! One of my dreams is to look after a cow :)
