  • Description

    About Me:
Hi! I’m Kasparas—an adventurous traveler, culture enthusiast, last year medicine student and a firm believer that life’s best lessons come from embracing the unexpected (and preferably near the sea breeze). Whether I’m working with my hands, cracking a joke during a coffee break, or lending a hand with a creative project, I’m happiest when I feel like part of a community where everyone chips in. Bonus points if there’s a boat nearby—because, yes, I’m very excited to learn how to sail. If you have a boat and some patience, I’ll bring snacks and enthusiasm.

    What Motivates Me:
Curiosity and growth keep me going. I believe every experience is an opportunity to learn something new—not just about the world, but also about myself (for instance, I recently learned that I’m very bad at folding fitted sheets, but great at making pancakes). I’m passionate about medicine, community building, alternative travel (hitchhiking is my specialty), storytelling, acting, and of course, cooking—I believe every recipe tells a story, and I love experimenting with new dishes (I promise to try not to burn things).

    What Brings Me Joy:
I’m happiest when I’m cooking for friends (the more chaotic the kitchen, the better), sharing skills, and creating meaningful connections. Whether it’s swapping stories by a campfire, learning a local secret recipe, or troubleshooting DIY disasters as a team, it’s these small, human moments that make my Workaway adventures unforgettable. Also, any day spent on a boat—even if I accidentally mix up the starboard and port—feels like a win in my book.

    Why Workaway:
For me, Workaway isn’t just about trading work for a place to stay—it’s about building real connections and sharing knowledge. I’m excited to help hosts achieve their goals, whether it’s scrubbing the deck (once I learn what the deck is), working on DIY projects, cooking, language exchanges, or simply being a friendly and supportive presence.

In short, if you’re looking for someone eager to learn, work, laugh, and maybe hoist a sail (with some supervision), I’m your person. Let’s make some great memories together!
