Description
We are a small Australian family (Mark 48 years, Carlie 45 years and Levi 10 years) who love travelling and enjoying cultural exchange. We are travelling on an epic journey - London to Australia by campervan, beginning in December 2023. We love to travel slowly and get to know places and people properly. We enjoy nature more than cities and are not afraid of seclusion or remote locations.
This is not our first rodeo - we have explored South America by motorbike (before Levi was born) as well as Central America, Mexico and Western Europe when Levi was a baby. We are very excited that Levi is now an age where he can cognitively engage in the travel and make meaningful contributions to the places and people we meet along the way. What an education!
We have previously done many volunteer, workaway and house-sitting roles in a huge variety of situations: renovating a guest house in Croatia, cooking in Italy, hosting and maintaining a hotel in Mexico, teaching English in Bolivia, farming in Argentina, tech help in Ecuador... so many great experiences. Carlie is a primary school teacher and experienced cook, Mark is all-things-hands-on and a psychologist while Levi is great at odd-jobs and with pets!
We are all keen travellers, learners and ready to make new friends where-ever we go, and live the saying, "If life is a book and you haven't travelled, you have only read a page."

We enjoy interesting food and wine and are looking forward to trying many new flavours on our journey. We are not late night partiers, preferring a few quiet drinks with friends in a scenic location.
We all love animals, especially Levi, who is determined to care for many animals in places we volunteer!
We will be travelling in our campervan, so sometimes we are able to stay in there instead of your place while we help you out. Although, during the winter months, a roof over our heads is appreciated!
