Description
I am a content writer with an obsession for stories and a great desire to discover new ones. Obviously writing is my main thing, but I also believe without firsthand experiences or those heard from others no writer would have anything to say.
On Workaway I am not just looking for new material. I found out from friends of mine who used it recently. It was their stories that convinced me to sign up. I am at a point in my life where I feel the need to put myself out there in contexts I am unfamiliar with: discovering new cultures, meeting new people and, last but not least, improving my English.
I am planning to go away this summer, I would like to stay from about July to September in a Northern European country. For linguistic reasons I am interested in Ireland, but I am also interested in Scandinavian and Baltic countries. Let's say I don't want to stay in the heat; I'm a bit of an atypical Italian on this. This will be my first experience with Workaway, I admit I am a bit scared however I am looking forward to it!

I have a bachelor's degree in Contemporary Humanities and in recent years I have worked in communications as a copywriter, content writer and podcast author.
In addition to creative jobs, I have experience as a dog walker and do well with cats too. I was also a boy-scout as a teenager, and from that time I still retain the basic outdoor life skills of camping and organizing activities for kids.
My native language is Italian, and I am willing to gladly teach it to anyone who would like to learn it. I have a good command of English, which I want to improve, however, especially in spoken English (it is one of the reasons I chose Workaway). I also speak basic French.
I am open to learning new skills in farming, ranching and construction but also in the arts, especially in music. In general I would like to do practical tasks, possibly outdoors.

I like stories of all kinds. When I'm not working I read both novels and nonfiction, listen to podcasts, and watch movies.
When I want to get out of the house I go to concerts or stand-up comedy shows. I like sad songs and funny punchlines.
My dream is to interview Rick Rubin in an abandoned quarry in my hometown.
At the moment I still remain undefeated at Taboo (the board game).
