Description
Hi there, my name is Cameron! I have just graduated from the University of York with a bachelors in art history, and I am interested in pursuing art conservation. I'm new to workaway but an experienced traveller! I grew up in New Jersey, and travelled to Europe each summer to visit family.
I've always enjoyed music, working with my hands, and being creative (recently this has led to an obsession with crochet). I love hiking and rock climbing (which I am new to but excited about) and generally being outside and active. I would love to spend some time connecting with nature and the people around me, and to explore more of the world before settling down.

I have an undergraduate degree in history of art and also speak beginner Spanish. This means I've spent quite a bit of time studying the intricacies of visual, written and oral communication. I've worked with children a lot, both as a nanny and as an art class instructor. I have also worked many jobs the service industry as a waitress, busser, barista and barkeeper, so I know the ins and outs of hospitality! I lived on a boat for a couple of years, and so I'm comfortable with watersports and sailing. I love cooking for myself and friends, and have been told I'm a good cook! I'm good with my hands and love making things for myself and friends, whether it be jewellery, sculptures, sewing or crocheting. I spent the last few weeks working on a farm in Spain, and have experience in the garden and with animals.

I stayed at Il Cannicio in late October/ early November, mainly chopping wood with two other workawayers. We worked four hours in the morning, stopping for once snacks and finishing at lunch. Cameron is a hard worker and cheerful person to have around. I stayed with Juan and Jenny for a couple of weeks in October and had the most incredible time. They were welcoming and eager to introduce me to their friends and all their animals!
