Description
Hi! I'm Kelsi. I joined Workaway because I love culture exchange. I traveled Europe couchsurfing and hosteling in college and I have had wanderlust ever since. I have previously volunteered in Mexico building homes for families and as an English tutor in Germany. Most recently, I taught English in Mongolia for 4 weeks over the summer. Additionally I have been a trusted housesitter for over a year with a 5 star rating (you can verify my reviews on my profile on trustedhousesitters.com). Professionally, I work as a project manager in information technology.
I love learning local customs and contemplating new ideas. I will always be thankful for the many people who have hosted me and let me into their lives, shared their stories, and given me new perspectives to bring home.Interests

More details about your skills
Professionally, my experience lies primarily in administrative areas specifically within higher education and increasing process efficiency. I am excellent in calendaring, coordinating, and developing training materials. I also worked in software customer service problem solving basic IT challenges. I have additional experience in tutoring English as I tutored two German children age 6 and 9 while I studied abroad for two years during my undergraduate education. I have some limited experience in the basics of building a house as I mixed concrete, applied chicken wire, and hammered some basic wooden frames for a house construction on three separate trips to Mexico.

What else ...
I am still developing hobbies and eager to try new things! Currently, I love a good hike and a good book. I also greatly enjoy kayaking. I want to practice pottery more and I will indulge in some painting as a creative practice. I like learning languages and want to dedicate more time to doing so in the future.
