Hi :)
My name is Ivonne and I am a 24 years old girl. I live in Italy, in Brescia and Milano, and I’ve just finished my studies in Cultural Heritage.
My dream is to see the world with my eyes and capture all the beauty and complexity She can offer me. Now that I’m free from my exams, I can start this adventure.
I’d like my journey would be full of places to see, but also people to meet and new things to learn about the culture of the Country I’m in, and this is the reason why I’m here on Workaway.
One day I choose to live in love and askd to the Universe to let me feel everythig, so I’m open to try all the adventures and experiences this travel could give me. At the same time, I hope to bring fullness and happiness too.
I love nature and stay in woods, I used to be a scout (so I have some survival skills) and now I’m a hippy that can feel and connect with environment: different phases of life but always in a tent.
I also love art, cinema, and artigian craft, infact I’m a crochet artist and I like to learn new tecniques for create things that can free me from capitalistic world.
Music makes me feel good and I like the way can colour time and spaces, becoming magic. In this period of my life I’m into punk, but I’d like to discover the sounds of all the world.
I am a pirate and my vessel is a green bike that brings me where I want. I am an artisan and dresses are my way for express creativity and myself. I am a crazy cat lady, and also an anthropologist that take notes of cultures with photography and short stories. I’m an underground person that wants to explore other underground realities.
I’m happy when I learn something new and explore places. I feel good when I stay in spaces and energies where people can feel free and them selves. My purpose in life is to find/create a space of peace where to make free and pure art, and where everyone can feel as free as the things they create.
I know that I am no one, but this invisibility is a super power that makes me everyone and let emphatize with others. I don’t know if with this travel I can start to realize my dreams, but I wanna try it with all the single cells of my body, and at least something beautiful will happens, even if is not on my plans.
PS I’m a freak but also a very polite and respectfull person :) Even if this description sounds like a guru’s speech, I’m a chill and quite shy person. Simply I have very clear and radical ideas of society and the world, but always open to destroy them and find new ways.
As a woman I think that is important and revolutionary to share our ideas in a strong way, because I’m not in anymore to shut up and simply stay in a room, even if is “one’s own”. A room is not enought anymore for me and every girls out there, now is the time to “run the world” and scream our thoughts (to quote Virginia Woolf and Beyoncé is a second ahahah).

More details about my language interests
There is this linguistic-anthropological theory which says that the way we see and perceive the world is determinated by the language we talk (Sapir and Worth, hypothesis of linguistic relativity). This is the reason why for me is very important to learn the language of the place I’m visiting, for understand the culture and the people, but also for craete a better interaction. So, I’m open to learn new ways of talk and at the same time teach italian.

I can built and repair things, thanks to the years that I spent in scoutism and my father’s education.
I can do vegetable garden: when I was a kid I used to do it with my grandfather.
I can sew: repair clothes and create to new ones.
Even if I don’t belive in work as the capitalistic society impose it to us, I’ve learned a lot of things by the jobs I’ve made in the years. I’ve been an educator and create events for kids and young teenegers. I’ve worked in the university library. I’ve done a couple of grape harvest (in Italy and in France). But also workd as a maid in a oil mill and a cashier in a super market. Every experience gave me something and now I have a lot of skills (and funny stories to share) hahah.
