Greetings hosts! We are a fun- loving couple from Sweden who are looking to work and travel from June this year! I (Bianca) have gone on workaways in the past with another friend(thus the feedbacks) in Italy, England and France, but this is our first time going on workaway together and are looking for fun adventures! We want to learn new skills, languages and meet interesting people!!

Bianca: I’ve studied film for two years and creative marketing for 1.5 years! I love animals, and have a lot of dogs and cats!! In previous workaways I’ve worked with kids, tourists and garden work(which was new to me but very rewarding)! My favorite thing with workaway is sharing experiences and getting to know people I otherwise would have never met!

Jesper: I like to photograph and always have DIY projects in the making! I’ve lived and worked in Bristol, England for a year in the past and traveled alone for three months in Japan and South Korea, but I miss experiencing new cultures and look forward to my next adventure! Growing up I'd help my dad in his job making furniture so I’d love to go somewhere where I could build and create things! As of current I study in Art school where I focus on sculpturing. I mostly work with wood and stone in my art:)

Both of us are flexible, social and creative. We’d love to welcome guests to your b&b, harvest olive trees, clean your house, take care of your loved ones or walk your dog. Being a couple in our late 20’s we want to clarify that we are not just looking for a place to stay and relax for free. We understand that this is an exchange and will do our best at any work we are assigned to do.
We are not professional carpenters or gardeners. With that said we are willing to do pretty much any work you think we can do. So if that’s gardening or carpenting, throw us a hammer! Our ”goal” with this is to maybe learn a new language, other skills we never thought we’d know and to create new routines with people we never knew we’d meet.

Amanda and Bianca - these girls will have you in hoots of laughter! They planned on staying with us for 2 weeks and in fact stayed for 3. They are an absolutely delightful pair and any host would appreciate their infectious ways. They work really hard whether together or separately; they use their initiative and often offer ideas to do things… read more their way.
They love animals and I know Amanda was going to miss our brood on leaving as she has no animals at home. They took our dog Max out for walks as well as taking him out on the kayak as well as looking after our 3 kittens and having them all in their room with them at night.

We had a BBQ one evening with around 20 guests and they both dressed up in their newly found 'work wear' and hosted the bar for the evening. Our neighbours found them delightful and they worked really hard late into the evening without complaint and the next day got stuck in with the clearing up.

One day we took them round to an elderly neighbour to help cut down her trees; there was no hesitation on their part and they worked really hard to get the work done.

In their spare time they are happy to entertain themselves......one day I heard music in the house and walked into the dining room and found them barefoot, in their 'workwear' with hats and sunglasses dancing around the room to the music - I had to take a video as they had me in hysterics. On the other hand, they may go for a stroll or just take some quiet time to reflect and write their notes.

When not joking about, they both have a serious nature. With Bianca volunteering as a Lay judge we were fascinated listening to all that entailed.

Work wise they cleared and prepared our walnut trees for harvest which was a painstaking task due to the years of neglect the trees had suffered; when the nuts were starting to fall, they went up most days to collect the fall (even on their last day). They worked really hard on the garden, helping to clear the many stones and weeds. They also helped in the house and cleared some of the rooms where our moving boxes had been building up. Luckily they are very strong too!

In the evenings we sat and ate dinner together, and on occasions Amanda brought down her Yahtzee game; we would spend a good couple of hours having fun and generally joking around with the game, which we've now become addicted to!

By the way, should you attend a vide grenier, boot sale, jumble sale........anywhere they may sell second hand clothes, please be sure to take the girls with you........they love vintage clothing and are happy to have a rummage through to find that bargain!

Should you host them, ask them to make their delicious gluten free chocolate 'truffles'; they made them on several occasions and had to share the recipe with our friends as they proved so popular.

Oh yes.........I nearly forget! They are devout Abba fans and you will often hear them singing their songs......either in their room or when working. They've even created their own street music video, again it's hilarious so make sure they show it to you.

We found Bianca and Amanda a real pleasure to host, easy to cook and care for and would not hesitate in having them back.
In summary and in homage to Abba............no need "to take a chance on.....", they are a win/win pair.
