Hi im Barto, an adrenaline junkie, avid rock climber, and outdoor enthusiast with a passion for adventure and self-sufficiency.

I’ve spent much of my life living on my family farm, tackling challenges and solving problems, and I’m now eager to put those skills to use while exploring rural and remote locations. I’m looking for volunteer opportunities where I can immerse myself in nature, get my hands dirty, and learn new skills – ideally in places that offer plenty of outdoor activities and a sense of community.

Before becoming a full-time traveler, I worked as an engineer, so I love a good challenge, whether it’s fixing something, building from scratch, or taking on technical tasks. I’m also a huge fan of hitchhiking and have traveled through Turkey and the Balkans this way, embracing the freedom of the open road and meeting people from all walks of life.

I’m an avid rock climber and hiker, so spending time outdoors is where I feel most at home. I want to dedicate most of my time to outdoor work and exploring the natural world, whether that’s through gardening, sustainable farming practices, or eco-building projects. I’m a strong believer in regenerative agriculture and find home gardens fascinating – I’d love to get involved in any projects related to these topics.

I’ve fallen in love with Bavaria, Germany, and I’m excited to learn more about its rich history, culture, and traditions. I’m also looking forward to practicing my German through a language exchange – it’s an amazing way to connect with people while enhancing my language skills.

What else ...

Aside from my love for the outdoors, I have a variety of other interests that I enjoy in my downtime. I’m a big fan of board games, such as Carcassonne and Nine Mens Morris, but I’m always open to learning new ones. I find games a great way to relax and bond with people, whether after a long day of work or in the evenings.

When I’m not adventuring, I like to spend time reading – mainly books on fiction and fantasy, but I also enjoy biographies and travel blogs.

Additionally, I’m very interested in sustainability and eco-living, so I love learning new ways to reduce my environmental footprint, whether that’s through zero-waste practices or upcycling materials for creative projects.

Overall, I’m an easygoing, open-minded person who enjoys new experiences, meeting new people, and embracing a life full of challenges and adventures!
