Hello! I am new to workaway and very excited to be here! I have been curious about the world my entire life and I am now ready to travel and learn from all those I meet along the way. I recently earned my Bachelor's degree in Wildlife Biology from the University of Montana. I have innate interests in all things about life including nature, food, culture, and science.

I am a 5th generation Montanan who has lived in Missoula for the past 6 years. I love this state but I want to travel to South East Asia and live the nomadic lifestyle for a time. I grew up as a military brat and had the fortune to live and travel a lot domestically and internationally as a child. I have been to many countries in Europe and I had the wonderful opportunity to visit South Africa last year.

My chaotic and diverse childhood has taught me to be an adaptable, strong, empathetic and culturally sensitive young woman. I am a proud auntie of two young girls. I want to lead a life that empowers myself and the young ones who watch me. People describe as low maintenance, personable, hard working, thoughtful, a good listener, up beat, adventure seeking, and needs a challenge. TEFL certified - Recently became certified. I have experience tutoring adults. I am currently working online for English companies for children.

Nanny Experience - Years of nannying young children ages 3-10. Skills range from helping with homework, cooking, going to bed, and helping them complete their chores.

Sawyer/Tools Skills - Crosscut certified (able to cut fallen trees up). Able to safely and effectively use saws, hand saws, axes, shovels, picks and other non-motorized tools.

Customer/Cooking Skills - I have 2+ years experience working in restaurants in both the front of house and back of house. I have experience with cash register/POS systems, food prep, dish washing, cooking in high temp pizza ovens, and cleaning all spaces in a restaurant.

Laboratory Skills - 4+ years working in shared laboratory settings. I mention this work experience because labs often operate like restaurants. There are shared equipment, high standards for organization, team working standards, and cleanliness requirements. Not to mention the constant need to reduce cross contamination. I know how to keep my work space clean :)

Wilderness First Aid & CPR certified (May 2024) - I know how to administer standard first aid in places considered "wilderness". Meaning places with limited medical resources or a delay in time before receiving medical resources.

Horsewomanship skills - I have rode horses since I was five years old. I have received lessons in both English and Western style. I have experience with competition English hunter show jumping in Naples when I was a child. I recently packed into the Bob Marshall wilderness area western style with mules for multiple day trips. I am backcountry pack certified and know how to through a "manti" .

Computer Skills - I have work experience with Microsoft Office programs especially Excel. I've worked with R studio scripts. I have plenty of experience with project management sites like Trello.

House Sitting/Dog Walking - I have helped many friends and family when they were on long vacations. I am their "go to" girl. I have taken care of plants, gardens, lawns, cats, dogs, horses, chickens, rabbits, and donkeys. It's not my fault all these animals end up loving me in the end.

I am a novice beekeeper. I have kept bees for a total of three years and have successfully over wintered hives in the harsh conditions of snowy Montana.

I like to play Dungeons & Dragons with my friends at home. It is a wonderful creative roll play game that allows players to explore their imagination.

I enjoy fitness and staying healthy. I work out at my local gym, I hike mountains, paddleboard in rivers, ski in the mountains, and bike around my town.

I am a foodie. I love to try new foods and I like watching cooking shows on TV.
