Hi! We’re Lisa and Axel, a French couple traveling through Southeast Asia with a strong desire to help and discover the world in a meaningful way. We’re using Workaway as a way to connect with people, immerse ourselves in local cultures, and be of service wherever we’re needed.

We love learning, sharing, and adapting to different kinds of projects: gardening, construction, household help, hosting travelers, educational or community work. What drives us is the human connection, discovering different ways of life, and above all, contributing with our hands and hearts.

I’m an optometrist with experience working in an ophthalmology clinic, where I developed strong interpersonal skills, active listening, and the ability to work effectively in a team — both with patients and healthcare professionals. My background also includes working in sales, which helped me strengthen my sense of communication, adaptability, and understanding of people’s needs.

I speak English at an intermediate level and have some basic knowledge of Spanish. Recently, I took part in daily life at a guesthouse in Laos — a truly enriching human experience.

Energetic, curious, and always eager to learn, I’m looking to get involved in meaningful projects where I can put my skills to good use while discovering new cultures.

Before starting my travels, I ran my own business for several years. This experience taught me responsibility, adaptability, and the importance of hard work—skills I now bring with me into every volunteering opportunity.

I enjoy being helpful in any kind of setting—whether it's lending a hand around the house, supporting ecological projects, working on a farm, or leading workshops. I always bring dedication and a positive attitude. Sharing what I know and learning from others is what drives me most in volunteering.
